Principal's Message
Principal's Message
Dear Lomita Park Community,
It is with great excitement and gratitude that I join the Lomita Park community as your principal. I am honored to become part of a school that is deeply committed to student learning, strong family partnerships, and a culture where every child is known, valued, and supported. I look forward to getting to know our students, families, staff and community as we work together to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Throughout my career in education, I have had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles that have strengthened my commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive. I believe that strong relationships, collaboration, and high expectations are the foundation of a successful school community.
Families are also essential partners in a child's education. When parents and caregivers show an active interest in their child's learning and support the work of the school, students are better positioned for success. I encourage you to share any information with your child's teacher that will help us better understand and support your child and your family. I look forward to partnering with you to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of every child.
Please make sure your phone number and email are updated with the school. Lomita Park uses Parent Square as a form of communication. Please download the app to your phone or register online.
Our results from district benchmark assessments show that students with better attendance were more successful. Please have your child(ren) at school by 8:15 am daily. Classes start at 8:15 am. See the Bell Schedule for all times based on grade level. Teachers have a limited amount of time with students and want to promote learning acceleration. When students are in class, they learn from their teacher and build relationships with their peers. I hope you will be able to support us and your student(s) during this school year. Our goal is to have students at school 95% of the time. This means only missing 8 days of school for the year, which is almost 1 day per month.
For the safety of our staff and students, we are requesting all visitors to please sign in at the front office. Please only use the main office entrance of the school during the day during work hours. If you are interested in volunteering, please use the volunteer clearance form or contact the school for the correct forms to fill out. Please feel free to contact us in the office at 650-588-5852. We are here to assist you and to provide the best education and experiences for your child.
As we begin this new school year together, I look forward to learning from our community, celebrating successes, and building on the many strengths that make Lomita Park a special place. Together we will continue to provide a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment where every student can achieve their full potential. Thank you for welcoming me into this wonderful community. I am excited for all that we will accomplish together.
For our students,
